In the month of April this year Infoxchange was tasked by the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority to set up a small internet hub for the residents of Kinglake to utilise. Two computer packages were donated for this project by GreenPC which were then configured to suit a public internet access environment. Some of this configuration included protection against restricted content such as pornography and malicious sites, set up of the internet connection, as well as the physical installation of all required hardware.
Since the completion of the project a number of community members have taken up the opportunity to use this service. Infoxchange enjoyed working with both VBBRA and the local management at Kinglake and look forward to assisting them with this project in the future. Peter Garnock from VBRRA was very pleased that everything went smooth as planned.
